II Corinthians 4 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.

If you will give Me your life I will make something beautiful out of it.

The Giver

Luke 1 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, for He has visited and redeemed His people and has raised up a horn of salvation for us in the house of His servant David, as He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from of old, that we should be saved from our enemies and from the hand of all who hate us; to show the mercy promised to our fathers and to remember His holy covenant, the oath that He swore to our father, Abraham, to grant us that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in holiness and righteousness before Him all our days. And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High; for you will go before the Lord to prepare His ways, to give knowledge of salvation to His people in the forgiveness of their sins, because of the tender mercy of our God, whereby the sunrise shall visit us on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

Sounds like a declaration of independence, doesn't it? O that the land of Israel would make it so. They would see a state of independence indeed!!! If only they would turn with one heart to their God we would see miracles from heaven, shouts of praise from angels innumerable, the whole earth would be filled with praise.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom He is pleased!!

Someday.

I have been reading (again) Catherine Marshall's, The Helper. The following is from this work...

Indeed, so long as we seek the baptism of the Spirit with ourselves primarily in mind-for our spiritual growth, for our peace of mind and joy, for our prayers answered-then the Helper always withholds a measure of Himself....The Holy Spirit will not come to us in His fullness until we see and assent to His priority-His passion for ministry. Are we ready to give ourselves to others?

Luke 1 The sunrise shall visit us on high to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into way of peace.

Ephesians 5 Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.

Matthew 5 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to our Father who is in heaven.

He is given to us to be given away!!!

Luke 6 Give and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over it will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.

He was given to me, to give to you.

Will you receive Him?

Lord pour into us, for service, for sharing. To give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
